Vision Statement

At Jamestown Community Children’s Centre, we are committed to building a nurturing and inclusive community where every child, family, and educator feels a deep sense of belonging. Through play-based learning, strong relationships, and collaborative partnerships, we support each child to grow, explore, and thrive as confident, capable learners.

Learning through Play

Play is the foundation of learning. Through intentionally planned, play-based experiences, children develop essential skills, explore their world, and express themselves. Play nurtures creativity, curiosity, confidence, and communication, building strong foundations for each child’s unique lifelong learning journey.

Nurture

We nurture each child with warmth, care, and respect, building trusting relationships that support their emotional security and sense of belonging. Through consistent, responsive interactions and inclusive environments, we create a foundation for children to feel confident, valued, and ready to engage, grow, and learn.

Collaboration

Collaborative relationships among, children, families, educators and communities enable meaningful learning. These connections foster trust, respect, open communication and shared understanding which are essential to supporting each child’s development and well being.

Belonging

We believe every child, family and educator has the right to belong, to feel safe, accepted and valued for who they are. We foster a strong sense of belonging through warm, respectful relationships with children, families and the wider community. Together, we foster an environment where children feel safe, supported, and inspired to learn, grow, and thrive.
